About Amoeba

Amoeba is a multiplayer IDE for software teams and the AI coding agents they run. The product is in early access and free while we work with pilot teams.

Amoeba is operated by Amoeba, Inc., a Delaware corporation. Amoeba is not affiliated with “Amoeba AI”, an analytics company. If you are looking for that company, this is not it.

Privacy policy

Effective 6 October 2026

Your repository stays in local checkouts and your agents run on your machine. The Brain stores the coordination data your team needs: accounts, workspace and session records, plans, memories, comments, activity and transcript chunks. We do not sell data and we do not run ads. The full privacy policy covers what we collect, who processes it and how to ask us to correct or delete it.

Terms of use

Amoeba is free during early access and is provided as is while we build it. You own your code, your prompts and the output your agents produce. Optional managed model usage is billed separately. The full terms cover accounts, workspaces, billing and refunds, and how disputes are handled.

Security

Installers are signed and published from the Amoeba GitHub organisation. Sessions are encrypted in transit. Transcript chunks and stored GitHub tokens are encrypted by Amoeba before they are written to the database. Other workspace records are protected by our database provider’s storage encryption. Amoeba holds the encryption keys, so this is not end-to-end encryption. Gated actions such as agent pushes need an approval from a workspace member with the editor role or above. To report a vulnerability, email security@useamoeba.com; we aim to acknowledge within two business days.
